Merry Christmas!

Hello all Gramm and Crackers fans! Merry Christmas to you all! I know it's been a long time since I wrote to you, and I really have missed you. Life sometimes gets in the way of the things we want to do, though, and we have to take care of other things first. Hopefully, starting in the new year, I will be able to concentrate and get back to the things I love. I want to wish you all all the blessings you deserve, now and in the year to come. Make the effort to spend more time with the people you love and the friends you care about. Eat dessert first, because you never know when this will be your last meal. Never let your loved ones go away from you without telling them you love them. I always tell mine to drive carefully, too, no matter if they are new or seasoned drivers. It's a habit I picked up from my mother, who was a great lady and a great influence in my life. I miss her every day.

It's a little blurry. My camera was having issues. That's our beautiful
tree in the background, and Crackers is holding her very own tree!

Keep the spirit of Christmas is your hearts and life will be a better place. Crackers wishes you all the best for the new year, too. We WILL be back. Things ARE looking up. And we DO love all of you. Have the best Christmas ever!

Penelope says Goodbye.....

Do you remember Penelope? She's Crackers' cousin who is going to live in Indiana.

This is how she looked a few weeks ago.

Well, Penelope is all finished and on her way to Indianapolis! I knit her some leg warmers so she wouldn't be cold back there.

Then she and Crackers decorated the box she is flying in. Boy, did they have fun!

At last, we took some final pictures before we packed her in the box and took her to the post office.

Now she's is winging her way to Hannah's house, to be friends with Hannah and her mommy. I know they will love her and take care of her, and introduce her to their family and the places they like to go. I think they will send us some pictures so we can see how she's doing, too. Crackers will miss her, but every good duck deserves a special family of their own, and now Penelope has hers!  Bye-bye, Penelope!

Well, I think I'm set to go. I've got my signature, my template and layout, (which may change) and my partner! Crackers. Who has turned out not to be a he but a she instead. As I was making him, I just kept getting the feeling that "he" wasn't a boy. Then when I put pink legwarmers on her, that was a sure sign......my duck is a girl. (Which is kind of understandable, you know, because it's kind of hard to tell until they get a little bigger.)

Crackers isn't your ordinary, run-of-the-mill duck, you know. She is a little plump and has some loopy hair right at the very top of her pointy little head, and she has very un-duckly legs. You see, they are really loooooong. That's why she needs leg warmers! Long skinny legs get cold, you know. And she has BIG feet, just like me! She's a little shy right now, but she'll get used to having her photo taken, because it's going to happen a lot. I'm even trying to talk her into writing a post every once in a while, so look for that in the future (if I can convince her that you want to hear from her). We can call it "All Quacked Up" or something like that.

So, drum roll please..................da-da-da da-da-da da-da-da DA! Here she is, Crackers, the Duck!

She likes to sit on my laptop because it keeps her little tushie warm, but it makes typing very difficult, so I have to kick her off when I'm writing a post. (She pouts a little, but I just ignore it.)

I have some ideas for future posts, and maybe some weekly posting ideas, too, so I hope you'll come back often and see what happening here at Gramm and Crackers. We love followers and we love comments. Invite your friends and family to join us, too. The more, the merrier!
